Privacy Policy

Viking Recon Beard Gear (“VRBG,” “we,” “us”) operates vikingreconbeardgear.store. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who helps us process it, and how to contact us about it. We built this site to collect as little as possible: no advertising trackers, no analytics scripts, no third-party cookies.

Information you provide

When you order. Checkout and payment are handled by Square on Square's secure checkout pages. There you provide your name, email address, phone number (if requested), shipping and billing address, and payment card details. Payment card details are collected and processed by Square and never touch our servers. Square sends us confirmation of the order (items, quantities, amount, an order and payment reference) so we can update inventory and fulfill it, and provides us the shipping details we need to send your gear.

Wholesale inquiries. If you submit the wholesale form, we store your name, business name, business type, city, phone number, email address, your message, and the date submitted.

Restock notifications. If you ask to be notified when a sold-out product returns, we store your email address and the product you asked about, and we email you once when it's back in stock.

Email and messages. If you email us or message us on social media, we receive whatever you send, including your contact details.

Information collected automatically

Server and security logs. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request — your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and timestamps — to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, and produce aggregate traffic statistics. We also record the IP address with wholesale-form and restock-notification submissions to limit spam.

Cookies. The public store sets no cookies. A single login cookie is set only when the business owner signs in to the private portal. We do not use advertising, analytics, or social-media tracking cookies.

Browser storage. Your shopping cart (product selections and quantities) is saved in your own browser's local storage so it survives a page refresh. It stays on your device and is not sent to us until you check out.

Payment processing. Square may collect additional device and transaction information on its checkout pages for fraud prevention under its own privacy policy: squareup.com/legal/privacy.

How we use information

To process and ship your order, send order-related messages, update our inventory, respond to your inquiries, notify you about a restock you requested, evaluate wholesale requests, keep business and tax records, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the store, and only what each needs:

• Square — payments, checkout, receipts, and refunds.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, database storage, and image storage.
• Resend — sends our transactional emails (for example, a restock notification you requested).
• Google (Gmail) — our business email, used when you write to us.
• Shipping carriers — your name and address on the package.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

Data retention

Order and sales records are kept as long as needed for business and tax purposes. Wholesale inquiries are kept while we work them and for a reasonable period afterward. Restock-notification emails are deleted after the notification is sent or on request. Cloudflare's server logs are retained per Cloudflare's own retention schedule. You can ask us to delete information we hold at any time (see below); some records may need to be kept where the law requires it.

Data security

The site is served over HTTPS. Card data never reaches our systems. Owner access to the portal is password-protected. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we keep what we collect small and protect it with reasonable measures.

Children's privacy

This site and our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to remove you from restock notifications. Email us and we'll take care of it.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
