Ingredients & Safety

Viking Recon Beard Gear products are handcrafted in small batches using carefully selected carrier oils, butters, waxes, and essential oils. Complete ingredient information is provided with each applicable product.

Our grooming products are intended for external cosmetic use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Customers with known allergies or sensitive skin should review the complete ingredient list before use. Patch testing before first use is recommended. Discontinue use if redness, irritation, or discomfort occurs.

Our products are intended to condition, moisturize, groom, soften, and improve the appearance and feel of beard hair and skin. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

Where to find the full ingredient list

Every bottle and tin carries its complete ingredient list on the label. We’re adding each product’s full list to its “Full ingredients & safety” section in the Armory. Until a product’s list is posted there, email vikingreconbeardgear@gmail.com and we’ll send it the same day.

Product sizes

Beard Oil — 1 fl oz (30 mL). Beard Balm — 2 oz (56.7 g).

How to use

Beard oil: start with a clean, slightly damp beard. Put 3–5 drops in your palm (more for longer beards), rub your hands together, then work the product down to the skin beneath the beard and out to the ends for even conditioning. Comb through.

Beard balm: warm a pea-sized amount between your fingers and work it into the beard, focusing on mid-lengths and ends. Shape and tame stray hairs. A little goes a long way; add more only if needed.

Safety

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children.

Contains plant-derived oils and essential oils. Review the full ingredient list before use. Patch testing before first use is recommended: apply a small amount to the inside of the forearm, wait 24 hours, and do not use if redness or irritation develops.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Natural oils can vary slightly in color and scent from batch to batch; that is normal for handcrafted small-batch products.
